The Procedure and Bylaws Committee encourages and educates members as to the value of using proper meeting procedures and adhering to the bylaws. This committee may also be assigned to review local PTA bylaws before submitting them to NJPTA for approval every three years, or for an amendment to the local PTA bylaws.

The Health and Safety Committee promotes awareness and programs concerning health and safety issues that affect the child, including traffic, and it promotes programs for parents regarding the same.

The Fifth Grade Committee helps fifth graders fundraise throughout the school year and supports the class and the administration plan and execute various fifth grade events throughout the school year.

Sunnybrae PTA offers two $500.00 scholarships to two graduating seniors from the Hamilton School District that will be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university or a technical institute in the summer or fall semester immediately following applicant’s high school graduation.
Through our scholarship program, Sunnybrae PTA works to support students who are focused on achieving career goals through higher education. In evaluating each application, the Scholarship Committee will also consider service and participation in school activities, community involvement and scholastic merit. Applications are available at participating Hamilton Township School District High Schools.

The charge of the nominating committee is to recognize and recruit the most qualified people available for elected PTA positions. It is the most important committee in PTA. Having qualified people step into leadership positions in a local PTA or council or at the state level will ensure success for many years into the future.

The Communications Committee prepares and distributes main communication vehicles for the Sunnybrae PTA. They promote PTA activities and events, administer social media, website, and e-mail distribution, and publish a monthly newsletter.

The Budget and Finance Committee prepares the proposed budget for the PTA year and submits it to the Board for approval and to the general membership for adoption. The Budget and Finance Committee monitors the spending of the PTA to ensure that the approved/adopted budget is not exceeded.

The Faculty Appreciation Committee coordinates Welcome Back Breakfast for teachers and staff, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week Luncheon & Activities, and any celebrations, including but not limited to retiring teachers, misc. appreciation days and leave of absence.

The Students Events Committee is responsible for overseeing the budgeting, planning and hosting of all student events. Committee coordinates event dates, secures commitments from volunteers, facility permits, insurance, amongst other responsibilities needed to execute a safe and successful student event.

The Fundraising Committee is the driving force behind all we do. Committee members coordinate fundraiser ideas, dates, and full implementation to raise funds for our local organization. The effort invested in this committee is expressed through student events, faculty appreciation, and school improvements.
